Happy Halloween from the masks outside the theater at Ostia Antica. Ostia Antica was the port for Rome, but silting has made modern Ostia a bit farther to the west than the old town. The theater here was small but quite well-preserved.

Night view of the fountain at the bottom of the Spanish Steps. Don't remember the name of the fountain, but it has steps on the side for people to step up and get a drink from the stream.

Trinity Church at the top of the Spanish Steps. Note the scaffolding at the upper right. It blocked the view of the church from the bottom of the steps, which was very disappointing.

Cat at Largo Argentina ruins. Largo Argentina is a square block of ruins. It also has a small, ruined stage where some kind of performances or perhaps rituals were shown. There are oodles of feral cats here. There used to be a bunch at the Colisseum, too, but the Romans finally decided they were reproducing too much there, but they left the ones at Largo Argentina. Judging from the name, I guess silver was minted nearby.
